Permit for Airbus A330 maintenance and repair of seats

A-Technics has been audited by the Federal Air Transport Agency to perform periodic maintenance of the Airbus A330 and repair of passenger seats

The provider of aircraft maintenance and repair A-Technics (part of the Aeroflot Group) has successfully passed the audit of the Federal Air Transport Agency for periodic maintenance of Airbus A330 aircraft and repair of passenger seats.

Previously, A-Technics had a permit to perform operational maintenance of aircraft of this type, which includes «light» forms. Now the provider can carry out more in-depth forms of maintenance of the Airbus A330, including 2C-check^*, replacement of landing gear racks and other complex work.

Thus, with the extension of the certificate, A-Technics has the competence and permits to perform «heavy» forms of maintenance on Boeing 737NG, Boeing 747-400, Boeing 777, Airbus A330, Airbus A320Family and Superjet 100 aircraft.

In addition, according to the results of the audit, the provider received permission to open a passenger seat repair site within its hangar complex at Sheremetyevo Airport. The new division will carry out major repairs of passenger seats and replacement of their faulty components. Previously, the repair of Western-made chairs was carried out in specialized organizations abroad.

During the audit, representatives of the Federal Air Transport Agency checked the work of departments, professional competencies of employees and internal regulatory documents of the organization, inspected production, warehouse and office premises. A-Technics has fully confirmed compliance with the requirements of the regulator.

^*2C-check is a «heavy» form of maintenance that is performed on the Airbus A330 every 45 000 flight hours, or every 15 000 flight cycles or every 48 months. This form implies the installation of an aircraft in a hangar for a long time and its substantial disassembly.
