Aeroflot Technics became the first MRO provider in Russia to perform a complete replacement of landing gear racks on a Boeing 777 aircraft

The maintenance and repair provider Aeroflot Technics has successfully replaced the landing gear struts on a Boeing 777 aircraft. The procedure was performed for the first time in the territory of the Russian Federation. The work was carried out on an Aeroflot aircraft on the basis of a hangar complex at Sheremetyevo Airport.

Replacement of landing gear struts refers to planned work and is performed on Boeing 777 aircraft once every 10 years or every 20,000 flight cycles, whichever comes first. The whole complex of works was carried out within two weeks in strict accordance with the manual for the technical operation of the aircraft.

A complete set of new racks was installed on the aircraft: the nose and two main ones. After completing all the procedures, the operation of the exhaust and cleaning system of the chassis was checked. All control tests confirmed the regular work. Currently, the aircraft has started operating flights within the Aeroflot schedule.
