Presentation of Boeing 737-900 G.R. Derzhavin named

On November 1, 2023 on the basis of the Aeroflot Technics hangar complex at Sheremetyevo International Airport Aeroflot presented the Boeing 737-900, the aircraft with the longest fuselage in the Boeing 737 Next Generation family.

The aircraft entered the Aeroflot fleet this year, is operated by the subsidiary Rossiya Airlines and named after the First Minister of Justice, statesman and Russian poet G.R. Derzhavin.

The event was attended by the Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation V.G. Saveliev, the Minister of Justice of the Russian Federation K.A. Chuichenko, the General Director of Aeroflot S.V. Alexandrovsky, the General Director of Sheremetyevo International Airport M.M. Vasilenko, General Director of Aeroflot Technics Mikhail Korobovich and other guests.

The aircraft is equipped with a Sky Interior cabin for 215 seats in a monocomposition. The interior design uses elegant rounded lines and calm light colors. The skin is made of modern noise-absorbing materials, which reduces the noise level in flight. Roomy luggage racks are equipped with microlifts that ensure smooth opening. Special adaptive lighting in soft colors will make the flight as comfortable as possible and enlarged portholes will provide passengers with a good overview.

The next flight on the plane «G.R. Derzhavin» will take place on the route Moscow – Kaliningrad – Moscow. In the future, aviation specialists of Aeroflot Technics will provide technical support for Aeroflot Boeing 737-900 as part of operational and periodic maintenance.
